Overview
To be a student in LaGuardia's National Honor Society means that you were successful in completing the dual mission of LaGuardia High School, the fusion of an arts and academic education, by maintaining a high GPA. It also means that you are willing to give back to our school community and your local community through service and tutoring. Being a member means that you are willing to step up to the plate as our school's leaders and innovators to help better our community and improve the learning environment for fellow students.
Remember that it is an honor to be in this organization and that you represent the best of the best in LaGuardia; your intelligence, responsibility, and concern for our school and your community are model characteristics that should be respected by LaGuardia students. There are, therefore, very high expectations for members of NHS. Note that you are responsible for your own actions; inappropriate behavior, misconduct, academic dishonesty, or lying about your service to the community will lead to dismissal from NHS.
